About Trudy

Trudy Ward works at the intersection of organisational systems and human behaviour – helping leaders see the gap between what their organisation believes it does and what actually happens inside it.

Her background spans HR leadership, quality and governance in safety-critical environments, and organisational research, including a PhD examining how culture shapes outcomes inside complex organisations – currently in progress, with the findings still taking shape.

That combination gives her an unusual lens: equal parts systems thinker and pattern-spotter, equally comfortable in a boardroom diagnostic and a hands-on delivery role. She's less interested in giving organisations answers than in helping them ask better questions – because better questions lead to better decisions, and better decisions change culture.

She's spoken at Agile on the Beach and is the author of Canaries in the Coal Mine, which explores how organisations can learn to read the signals they usually miss.
